Advertising is going to increase in Apple
In addition to apps, Apple is going to add pre-installed ads to maps, books and podcasts on other Apple devices including the iPhone. Apple is testing it on Maps. This ad will show when searching for restaurants, stores or other near-by businesses on the map.
Apple has already started using the advertising model in the AppStore. According to Gurman, the same will work in Maps. Searching for something will show ads above.
It should be noted that the first ad appeared in the App Store in 2016. Last September, the company took feedback from everyone about personalized ads.
