Android 14 will have satellite connectivity

Android 14 comes with some surprising information. Google Platform and Ecosystem Senior Vice President Hiroshi Lockheimer announced on Twitter that Google Android-14 phones have direct satellite connectivity. Engineers are working on it.

It is believed that the official announcement of the new version of Android may come at the annual conference of Google developers in May 2023. However, its developer preview build could be released in February and the beta build in April.

However, it may take August to release the full version of Android 14, according to technology experts.

It is known that Android-14 users will be able to connect to the network from anywhere in the world. As a result, there will be network connectivity even in remote areas.

This network can process data at approximately 2 Mbps (megabytes-per-second) to 4 Mbps per cellular zone. Although it is quite slow, it is possible to exchange hundreds of thousands of texts.

This network bandwidth is expected to be sufficient for 1 to 2 thousand voice calls anywhere in the world including remote areas.

Android users connected to the satellite network can make any texting, voice calls, and browse the Internet using mobile data, including MMS (picture/video messages).
